2025 PQMD Global Health Policy Forum

This panel will bring together influential youth leaders alongside key figures from major youth-focused organizations, all of whom are making a tangible impact in the fields of health and social change. Together, they will discuss their work, the challenges they face, and their vision for a more equitable health future. The conversation will highlight the unique perspectives, creativity, and energy that youth bring to addressing health disparities and advancing global health goals. It will emphasize the critical importance of greater youth involvement in global health policymaking and action, showcasing why the next generation must have a central role in shaping health priorities and solutions.

This session will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies are transforming global health, and critically examine whether these innovations are truly making a difference at scale. Experts in digital health, AI, and innovation will discuss the practical applications of technology in healthcare, focusing on real-world impacts, current deployments, and how we can scale solutions for lasting, sustainable change. The session will also examine the challenges of scaling tech-driven health solutions, including cost-effectiveness, implementation readiness, and preparing for the future of global health.

The gap between global health needs and available funding has never been more apparent, making the question “Where is the money?” crucial to solving this crisis. Despite trillions being invested in the global health sector, much of this funding does not reach the areas where it’s most needed. This session will explore the systemic challenges in financing global health equity, focusing on the urgent need for smarter allocation of resources. Participants will be challenged to rethink how financial systems can better serve vulnerable populations and ensure that resources are directed where they will have the greatest impact.
