Jocelyn Mackie is Partner at Gilbert's LLP and Vice President of Gilbert’s Global, an innovative law firm and strategic and financial consultancy with offices in Toronto, New York and London. Jocelyn supports clients working to solve complex challenges, often at the intersection of innovation, impact and finance.
Prior to returning to Gilbert's in 2023, Jocelyn was Co-CEO of Grand Challenges Canada, Canada's largest global health impact investor. Over her 12 years at GCC, she enabled investment in 1500 innovations in over 90 countries, as well as innovative financing models in global health. Jocelyn started her career as an intellectual property litigator, and supporting IP policy reform in Canada and the United States. She has worked closely with pharmaceutical and medtech companies.
Jocelyn has a business degree from the University of Western Ontario, an MSc (focused on bioscience industry ethics), and Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. She is licensed to practice law in Ontario Canada, and New York State. She was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 leaders (2019).
