About me
Michael Anderson, CB is CEO of MedAccess, a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to improving access to essential health products and medical innovations. Drawing on $200m capital provided by British International Investment, MedAccess has used innovative finance to improve access to health products in more than 110 countries since it was founded in 2017. Prior to MedAccess, Michael was CEO at CIFF (the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation), Director General at DFID (the UK Department for International Development), and served as the UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy on international development goals. Prior to government service Michael co-founded a company specialising in evidence-based medicine, worked as a lawyer and academic at the London School of Economics.
